The AI4Science Center provides seed funding to support cross-departmental collaborations at Georgia Tech. Through an internal proposal process, up to six projects per year receive 50% matching support for a Graduate Research Assistant. Each project involves at least two Georgia Tech groups and address a scientific challenge where AI can make a transformative impact.
Next funding opportunity: Seed Funding for Spring 2026
We are pleased to announce the Fall 2025 AI4Science Seed Grant Competition, made possible through generous support from the School of Physics, the School of Psychology, and the School of Chemistry & Biochemistry. (We would also like to acknowledge the support for a visiting assistant professor position from the school of Mathematics, which however is not part of this call.)
This semi-annual competition will provide one GRA semester of support (including stipend and tuition remission) to three selected projects for the 2026 Spring semester.
